1 Check if your shop is already on Google Maps
Open Google Maps on your phone and search your shop name + village/town (e.g. “Rava Store Mirza”). Three possibilities:
- Shop not there? → Go to Step 2 to add it.
- Shop appears, but you never claimed it? → Tap it and look for “Claim this business” or “Own this business?” — tap that, then follow Step 3 to verify.
- Shop appears AND it’s already yours? (you can edit it / no “Claim this business” shown) → Great, you’re ahead! 🎉 Skip straight to Step 4 — add your store code.
🏪
2 Create your free Business Profile FREE
- Go to google.com/business and sign in with your Gmail (the same one you use on your phone is fine).
- Enter your shop name exactly as written on your signboard.
- Choose your business category (e.g. Stationery shop, Grocery shop, Medical shop).
- Add your shop address and pin the exact location on the map.
- Add your shop phone number and opening hours.
💡 Use your real shop name, address and phone — Google checks these. Wrong info can get the profile suspended.
🎥
3 Verify your shop (Google checks it’s real)
Google will ask you to verify. Most shops in India get video verification:
- Record a short video walking up to your shop — show the signboard, the inside of the shop, and proof you work there (e.g. opening the cash counter or shelves).
- Some shops instead get a phone call/SMS or a postcard by post — just follow what Google shows.
Verification usually completes in 1–5 days. After that, your shop officially appears on Google Maps. 🎉
🔑
4 Add your Nijoor store code MOST IMPORTANT
This little code is what makes your products appear on Google when customers search nearby.
- In your Business Profile: Edit profile → Business information → Advanced settings → Store code.
- Open the Nijoor app → Store Owner Mode → under “Get your shop on Google” you’ll see “Your Google store code” — tap to copy it.
- Paste it in the Store code box on Google and save.
🔑 Why it matters: the code links your Google shop profile with your Nijoor products. Without it, Google sees your shop and your products separately — with it, Google shows “available at your shop” to nearby customers.
🤝
5 Add Nijoor as your manager
This lets Nijoor connect your shop’s products to Google for you — you stay the owner, always.
- Open your Business Profile (search your shop on Google and tap “Manage”).
- Go to Settings (⚙) → People and access → Add.
- Enter main@nijoor.com and choose role Manager.
- Tap Invite. Done!
🔒 A Manager cannot delete your profile or remove you. You can remove Nijoor any time. You always stay the owner.
💡 Why do this?
Your Business Profile shows your shop on Google. But it cannot show your products.
That’s what Nijoor does: every product you add in the Nijoor app gets its own page on nijoor.com and is sent to Google automatically — so nearby customers searching “marker pen near me” can find your shop.
You add the product in 30 seconds. Nijoor puts it on Google.
